Conference Theme
“A decade since the Okanagan Charter… Where from, what next, where to? Recent advances and future perspectives in health promoting campuses”
The 2025 International Health Promoting Campuses Conference will mark the 10th anniversary since the creation of the Okanagan Charter: An International Charter for Health Promoting Universities & Colleges (and 20 years since the Edmonton Charter in 2005), so the overarching theme is celebration and recognition of 10 years and planning the next steps.
What now / Where from will facilitate recognition, reflection and celebration of the achievements of the movement since the signing of the Okanagan Charter in 2015.
What next will open discussions for necessary advancements including collaboration, innovation, and evaluation of health promoting activities. We will place on emphasis on two emerging themes - Sustainable and Egalitarian universities.
Where to will chart the course for the campus health promoting activities for both emerging and established members of the IHPC movement. This element will be participatory (by registrants, networks and the wider IHPC community) in the years preceding the conference.
